New Honorary Members

Bros David Wilson (Lodge Sir Michael No 989 and Deputy Provost of Inverclyde) and Iain D. MacLeod (Lodge Doric Kilwinning No 68, bon viveur and retired polis) were made honorary members of No XII at the meeting on 4th March.

Each knew that the other was being honoured in this way but neither new that he, himself, was!  Therefore they were both greatly surprised when asked to come to the centre of the carpet.

Both brethren have been great supporters of No XII – David in the quest to get the famous windows back in the Saloon and Iain by applying some ‘old fashioned’ polis detection techniques to ensure that the irreplaceable Drummond Medal was found and returned to me as RWM (at the time) after it had been stolen from the cloak room at a meeting in West Stewart Street some 25 years ago.
