Donation to Erskine

We continue to distribute money from our Charity Drive.  £2500 having been given to the Beacon Youth Theatre and £500 to the Govan High Study Visit to Auschwitz, the latest recipient was Erskine Home.  The brethren of No XII have the concept of helping those in need at the heart of all that they do.  This is reflected in the importance placed on the annual charity drives. Recently Right Worshipful Master Bro Alan Beck presented a cheque for £2500 to Alan Moss, Community Fundraiser at Erskine.  RWM Bro Alan said, ’The forces’ charities are very close to the hearts of all freemasons because of the great respect that we have for the service and sacrifices of British servicemen and women on behalf of us all.  No XII is delighted to be able to support the great work done at Erskine.’

Erskine Fundraiser, Alan Moss said “We are delighted to receive this terrific donation from Lodge Greenock Kilwinning No XII.  Well done to all their members for helping to make a massive difference in the lives of our brave Veterans at Erskine.  Donations are a vital part of our funding and this will help us to provide the high standard of care our Veterans so richly deserve.  Erskine has been supporting veterans in Scotland for almost 100 years; re-building shattered lives, restoring dignity and providing first-class care to ex-service men and women. Without the help of our supporters and the generous donations we receive, we simply could not continue to offer a hand of help to the 1,100 veterans we care for each year. On behalf of those veterans and everyone here at Erskine, we offer Lodge Greenock Kilwinning No. XII our heartfelt thanks.”

This brings the amount distributed by the brethren of No XII to £5500 this year and more presentations are yet to be made.
